HubSpot’s INBOUND 2023: An Unforgettable Experience

inbound-2023

The team from Bigger Dot recently attended INBOUND 2023 which is an annual conference for business, marketing, and sales leaders. Let us tell you, it was nothing short of amazing. We're excited to share a recap of our experiences and show you some of the fantastic moments we captured.

A Hot Ticket Event

This year's INBOUND was a hot ticket that sold out in record-breaking time. The event was held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and drew an impressive crowd of over 11,000 attendees. You could feel the excitement in the air from the moment we arrived!

A Diverse and Engaging Show Floor

The first thing that stood out to us was the diverse range of speakers and content that the INBOUND team had carefully curated. The lineup included big-name speakers such as Reese Witherspoon and Derek Jeter, along with over 150 educational breakout sessions. It was clear that HubSpot aimed to please, and they did it brilliantly.

The show floor was another highlight. It was bright and colorful with a fun, inclusive vibe, and the physical production was designed to replicate the approachable HubSpot brand. The show floor featured custom brand activations, VIP experiences, educational sessions, health and wellness activities, and community celebrations. There were even opportunities for photo moments.

What impressed us the most was the focus on delivering hyper-relevant content for folks in sales, marketing, and operations.

The Role of Print in a Digital World

Although this was a very digital-focused show, there was print everywhere. From the event decor, vendor exhibits, signage, and marketing collateral, print played a significant role in enhancing the overall experience. It demonstrated the power of print materials in an increasingly digital landscape.

In a world dominated by digital communication, it was refreshing to see the enduring importance of print in engaging audiences. The physical presence of printed materials added a tangible, human element to the event. Here is how print materials influenced the event experience:

  • Tactile Engagement: Print materials offered a tactile and sensory dimension that digital content can't replicate. Attendees could touch, feel, and interact with brochures and promotional materials, making the experience more immersive.

  • Branding and Visibility: The event decor, including banners and signage, showcased the power of print in branding and visibility. It made navigation easier and created a cohesive, branded atmosphere throughout the venue.

  • Marketing Collateral: Print marketing collateral such as business cards, flyers, stickers, and brochures, provided attendees with a tangible token to take home. It's a lasting reminder of the event and the products presented.

  • Human Connection: In-person events like INBOUND remind us of the importance of human connection. The combination of live interactions and printed materials created a unique and memorable experience.

While digital tools are undoubtedly valuable, the coexistence of print and digital at INBOUND emphasized that in-person events continue to be cherished. The blend of physical and digital offers an effective way to engage audiences by providing a multi-sensory experience that everyone loves.

Moments of Joy and Play

Finally, what really touched us was the emphasis on moments of joy and play. In a sea of business and growth discussions, INBOUND recognized that attendees need moments of connection, togetherness, and laughter. It made the experience feel all the more human.
